Closet Carousel Rental Guidelines

At Closet Carousel, we’re proud to offer a curated selection of formal dresses, wedding gowns, and handbags for rent — perfect for weddings, galas, proms, and other special events. Please review the following rental guidelines to ensure a smooth and stylish experience:

 

Rental Period

• Rentals are for a 7-day period, beginning on the pick-up date.

• Extended timelines can be arranged for out-of-town events or destination weddings. Just let me know in advance and I’ll do my best to accommodate!

 

Deposit & Fees

• A refundable security deposit is required at the time of rental.

• The deposit amount is based on the retail or resale value of the item and typically ranges from 50% to 100% of that value.

• Deposits will be returned in full when the item is returned on time, in its original condition, and with proof of dry cleaning.

 

Cleaning Requirements

• All gowns and handbags are professionally cleaned before being rented.

• Renter is responsible for having the item dry cleaned before returning it, and must provide a receipt from a recognized dry cleaner.

• If returned uncleaned or improperly cleaned, an additional cleaning fee may be deducted from the deposit.

 

Damage, Loss, or Theft

• If an item is damaged, lost, or stolen, the deposit will not be refunded.

• If repair is possible, the cost will be deducted from the deposit. If the item is beyond repair or replacement, you may be responsible for the full retail value.

 

Cancellations & No-Shows

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the pick-up date are eligible for a full refund of the rental fee and deposit.

• Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the rental fee but will have the deposit returned.

 

Try-Ons & Reservations

• Items may be tried on by appointment prior to rental.

• To reserve a specific item, a deposit must be paid at the time of booking. Availability is first come, first served.

 

Pick-Up & Return Locations

• Rentals can be picked up and returned by appointment in Uxbridge or Ajax.

• Items must be returned by the agreed-upon date to avoid late fees.

 

Other Terms

• Items may not be altered without permission.

• Steaming is allowed, but please do not iron any garment.

• All accessories, garment bags, or original packaging must be returned with the item.
